Excellence in Interventional Cardiology

Dear Friends and Colleagues

After a solid run of 25 years, we are bringing Excellence in Interventional Cardiology (EIC) to a close. We do this with a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment, though definitely mixed with sadness.

This decision does not come easily after a quarter century learning from and challenging each other, often sharing our best and worst outcomes, growing closer professionally and socially.  We will miss the ambiance of those few special days in early December at Whistler and will especially miss the companionship and bonds we have built with all of you.  The participation from coast to coast has never ceased to amaze and inspire us.

We are grateful for the many industry sponsors for supporting our vision over the years.  Many of their representatives have become friends that we continue to reach out to and learn from.

A very special thanks goes to Edie Svetliza and her staff at Xpertize – including her successor Tal Erdman, for their planning and management support from the very first to the very last iteration of EIC.  None of this could have happened without Edie; she has been an amazing partner.

Most of all we want to thank all of you, our friends and colleagues, for your attendance and enthusiastic participation each and every year.  The best part of the meeting has always been the interaction between all of us.

Times change, we all grow. It has been a wonderful experience to grow with you professionally and as friends. We wish you all the best in your lives and careers.

Your participation has enabled us to spend a few days together each of the past 25 years, building professional connections with colleagues from across the country, and sharing learnings and experiences that ultimately lead to better care and better outcomes for our patients.

As a valued industry sponsor, we want to recognize and thank you for your support.  We sincerely appreciate your willingness to be part of a meeting that often strayed from topics of commercial interest in favor of a focus on clinical and professional development and well being.  EIC was unique in its emphasis on interaction and shared learning among all participants.  This includes representatives from industry, many of whom became friends that we could reach out to and learn from.
